Buy some produce at the thriving Farmers Market in Picton Street on a Saturday morning and visit the galleries full of original works. In the afternoon hit the nearby beaches and laze the day away (the sun always shines in Howick) then tramp the coastline in what locals call one of the 10 best tramps in the world!
